Sailin’

Didn’t your dad always want a boat?? well, here ya go!! You can give him one for Father’s Day :)

I truly bought this stamp set for the sole purpose of using the little “steering” stamp – how stinkin‘ cute is it?? I was just dying to do something “nautical” with it!

So what do you think?? Not to shabby, me thinks – meanwhile, this is about as nautical as I’m getting this summer because I recently discovered I get highly seasick just from standing within two feet of these darn things!! looong story..

So anyway, I cut out the shape of the boat and the sail and just kind of inked them up to give them a little “texture” The sail is sponged using creamy caramel and river rock – I think in the picture it looks like the sail is actually folded but it’s not, it’s just ink! So fun!!

Stamps: Dad’s Day
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, Bravo Burgundy, Night of Navy, River Rock, Close to Cocoa, Basic Black
Paper: Cardstock: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, Night of Navy, Kraft.
Accessories & Tools: Linen Tread, Antique Brass Hodgepodge Brads, Vintage eyelets, 1-1/4″ and 1-3/8″ Circle Punches, My Way Punch, StampinDimensionals.

This was lots of fun to put together! easy too – always a big plus!

I wish you all a happy & healthy holiday weekend, whether you’re cooking, stamping or even hanging off the side of a boat like yours truly… enjoy!!
