It’s finally here!!

I am so happy its Friday – and today is extra special for me!! 

Today I have the honor of being Taylor’s Featured Cupcake Sampler!  What an incredible thrill!!  I was just beside myself when she emailed me to ask if I would sample the sketch.. seriously?? -no pressure really!! OMG!! YEAH!!

I had a lot of fun coming up with this card!  It was pretty easy – after all the sketch was already done for me, and also, I knew exactly what I wanted to do!  I just had to use my cuppie stamps, and since Taylor recently moved back to the midwest from California, I thought she might enjoy a little California Dreamin’ in case she got a little homesick!

All of the papers and embellies are from the July Key Ingredients (well, except for the 4 little pewter brads and the large corduroy brad, which are from Stampin’ Up!). 

Everything in the Key Ingredients kit is just gorgeous!! The papers are just incredible – very retro, which I absolutely love. I am on this funky pattern kick lately!!  The patterns were just so fun to pair together.  I also loved the little chipboard accents that are included.  I used one of the chipboard ovals for the sentiment, which I embossed directly onto it.  I then inked up the edges with my Peeled Paint Ranger Distress Ink, and I added the little dots using the liquid pearls which came in my Key Ingredients (sooo awesome!).  The images are all colored using Copic Markers. 

I think this card is pretty California cool right??   I think Taylor’s pretty cool for letting me play along with the sketch this week !
